“After years of managing household budgets through the stress of the worst inflation in a generation, US families are increasingly pressured by a different kind of financial squeeze: The cost of carrying debt.
Two years after the Federal Reserve began hiking interest rates to tame prices, delinquency rates on credit cards and auto loans are the highest in more than a decade. For the first time on record, interest payments on those and other non-mortgage debts are as big a financial burden for US households as mortgage interest payments.
The figures suggest a difficult reality for the millions of consumers who are the engine of the US economy: The era of high borrowing costs — however necessary to slow price increases — has a sting of its own that many families may feel for years to come, especially the ones that haven’t locked in cheap home loans. And the Fed, which meets next week for a policy decision, doesn’t appear poised to cut rates until later in 2024.
As monthly debt payments take up more of workers’ paychecks, those consumers are more exposed to potential economic contractions.
And the cost of money affects people’s perception of their own prosperity: A February paper from IMF and Harvard University researchers posits that the recent high cost of borrowing — which isn’t captured in inflation figures — is key to understanding why consumer sentiment remains lackluster even as inflation has moderated and businesses are hiring at a healthy pace.
THINGS TO PONDER:
Let’s deal with the last paragraph first… the continuing attempts to justify that things “shouldn’t be bad” by people who are carrying water for those who benefit from your misery should be a crime.
If someone is about to get hit by a bus, you’re going to scream at the top of your lungs to get out of the way…
Unless you have a vested interest in them dying.
Inflation hasn’t moderated.
The only “business hiring” at a healthy enough pace to try and sustain people is the government.
And it’s nearly impossible to afford to live.
How do we know? This part:
“Two years after the Federal Reserve began hiking interest rates to tame prices, delinquency rates on credit cards and auto loans are the highest in more than a decade. For the first time on record, interest payments on those and other non-mortgage debts are as big a financial burden for US households as mortgage interest payments.”
How do you think this ends?

“The Canadian banking system is set to be radicalized by open banking framework.
Proponents are framing this as a way for banks to easily share information and access user data. The truth of the matter is that this is an opportunity to merge social standings with banking to provide government complete control over our finances.
The organization Open Banking Excellence, a World Bank partner that originated in the UK, claims that it will host all of a bank’s relevant needs in one place. The organization, which has reached 40 countries, aims to ‘create exceptional platforms and content that promotes knowledge sharing, new thinking and partnerships within the industry – catalyzing the adoption of Open Finance and Data for better financial inclusion worldwide.’
‘It’s about having that fairer, more inclusive, more open society,’ said Helen Child, founder of Open Banking Excellence. Open Society, well, that does sound familiar. Why is there a need for inclusivity and fairness in banking when it should come down to numbers? ‘It drives financial inclusion’ she added, ‘It’s democratizing data.’
Data. That will be worth more than gold as we move forward with a cashless society. There is no easier way to control the masses than to control their access to money, their ability to buy, trade, and freely move about.
The Canadian Press outlined the true motive in plain sight: ‘One of the biggest areas of growth is in credit assessments. Under open banking, lenders could directly access an individual’s banking data, so they can look beyond credit scores. Consumers can also use it to build their credit scores, for example, by proving reliable rent payments.’”
THINGS TO PONDER:
Kudos to Martin Armstrong & his team for catching this.
The march towards a true Central Bank Digital Currency (#CBDC) requires social credit score components to be in place.
If you want to know what your future looks like in this dystopia, you can look to China.
Also, you can look at the Songbun system in North Korea, which will scare you even more.
What you’ll find is, that no matter how “good” it looks… or how loyal you are to “the party” you never know if the next thing that you say… will be the last thing you say.
Canada has just taken a step towards totalitarianism.

“Planet Fitness has refused to walk back its decision to ban a member who exposed a 'trans woman' shaving in the female locker room.
The statement, which was shared by the Libs of TikTok Twitter account, said although some members may feel uncomfortable sharing facilities, 'This discomfort is not a reason to deny access to the transgender member.'
The comments come after Patricia Silva detailed at incident at her Alaska gym where she saw a transgender woman shaving in her locker room.
Silva had just finished working out at Planet Fitness' Fairbanks location, when she saw the person, whom she called 'a man with a penis,' carrying out his routine in front of a 12-year-old girl.
Silva, who has previously run for Fairbanks Borough Assembly, told the 'trans woman' they should really be using the male locker room.
The trans woman retorted they were 'LGB.'
Silva took a picture of the person and shared it online. And she was so shocked by what she had seen that she recounted her experience in a Facebook video.
'I just came out of Planet Fitness. There is a man shaving in the women's bathroom. I love him in Christ,' Silva began. 'He is a spiritual being having a human experience. He doesn't like his gender so he wants to be a woman, but I'm not comfortable with him shaving in my bathroom. I just thought I'd say it out loud.'
THINGS TO PONDER:
You’re at war, even if you don’t believe you are… here’s the proof:
You’re supposed to conform… even if it means men who think that they are women are in a women’s locker room violating your personal space.
And, you can clearly see what the consequences are for not bowing at the altar of mental illness:
Planet Fitness revoked Silva's membership and filed a police report against her, citing her violation of gym policy by taking photos and/or videos in the locker room.
When DailyMail.com contacted Planet Fitness about their policy, they reiterated their statement issued after Silva went viral.
'As the home of the Judgement Free Zone, Planet Fitness is committed to creating an inclusive environment. Our gender identity non-discrimination policy, states that members and guests may use the gym facilities that best align with their sincere, self-reported gender identity,' it read.
'The member who posted on social media violated our mobile device policy that prohibits taking photos of individuals in the locker room, which resulted in their membership being terminated'
Let’s be clear - if you don’t stand up to this foolishness, strongly, right now - you’ll be living with it… and so will your children.
STEP UP.
Issues with critters? Sick of using things that can easily make you sick or kill you?
Dr. Killigan’s is THE all-natural solution. Check out what a customer had to say about their “Six Feet Under” non-toxic insect spray:
I bought this to get rid of the ants that built a nest in my flagstone patio and sidewalk. I have granddaughters and pets, and I didn't want to use chemicals that could make them sick if they were exposed. I've used other natural pesticides in the past with mild success but this stuff definitely does the trick! I've only had to spray one time over a month ago...still no sign of the ants returning. 10/10, will be purchasing more.”
