“The Government Is Set To Spend More On Debt Payments Than The Entire Defense Budget”
“Interest on federal debt is set to skyrocket, potentially surpassing defense spending by as early as 2025, CNN reported Tuesday.
The federal government made $475 billion in net interest payments in the fiscal year 2022 — which ended in September — up from $352 in fiscal year 2021, according to the Treasury Department. The number exceeds the $406 billion spent on transportation and veterans’ benefits, and is on track to eclipse the roughly $750 billion spent on defense this year between 2025 to 2026, according to CNN, citing financial analytics firm Moody’s Analytics.”
“Economists Warn Of Deeper US Downturn As Fed Keeps Up Inflation Fight”
“When Federal Reserve officials last met to set US monetary policy, chair Jay Powell made it clear that a recession in the world’s largest economy could not be ruled out. “No one knows whether this process will lead to a recession or if so, how significant that recession would be,” he said at the press conference after the Federal Open Market Committee’s gathering in September.”
“Saudi Arabia, U.S. On High Alert After Warning Of Imminent Iranian Attack”
“Saudi Arabia has shared intelligence with the U.S. warning of an imminent attack from Iran on targets in the kingdom, putting the American military and others in the Middle East on an elevated alert level, said Saudi and U.S. officials
In response to the warning, Saudi Arabia, the U.S. and several other neighboring states have raised the level of alert for their military forces, the officials said. They didn’t provide more details on the Saudi intelligence.”
Busy Day, Ripped from the Headlines. Things to ponder:
We’ve been talking about the mismanagement of your money by the people that you’ve elected to represent your interests for a while, but this is really a “chickens come home to roost” moment…
If you’re paying attention, you realize that this headline is on purpose, and fits with a few different narratives. If you can weaken the United States, then rob the tax payer blind… then merge the two together…
See what Crazy Uncle Joe did there?
The economy… well… yep, that part.
If you’re a regular reader, you knew this was coming. If you’re new, read through the various ripped from the headlines and get moving to prepare.
BOUNS ROUND: Iran, which is a half step from regime change, is ready to attack Saudi Arabia to deflect from it…
Always remember that in chaos, you can move pieces around to get things done.
What does this mean?
Things going back to normal is next to impossible at this point.
Sometimes, you just have to say it.
In a call today with someone who invests in companies, we had this conversation. Having never talked with this person before, they came to the same exact conclusion we did when we posed the question about what will happen with the economy.
This won’t be like before, when one sector of the economy tanked…
What happens when nearly all sectors of the economy tank?
Nothing good.
