“Bungling U.S. government bureaucrats dispatched to the Maui disaster zone are shacked up in $1,000-a-night luxury hotels on the Hawaiian island, DailyMail.com can reveal.
Officials from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) have been slammed by locals over their slow response to the devastating wildfires that have claimed at least 114 lives and left thousands of people homeless after their houses were scorched to the ground.
But that has not stopped the under-fire agency from splashing taxpayer cash to put up more than 1,000 of its personnel at four bank-breaking resorts in Wailea after the deadliest wildfire in the U.S. for more than a century that caused an estimated $5 billion in damage.
But FEMA's choice of accommodation for their officials could raise eyebrows given that there are scores of cheaper hotels in the west of the island.
Kaleo, a local government employee who asked for his surname to be withheld amid fears that he could lose his job, said the revelations about their use of luxury hotels was 'selfish'.
'Shouldn't they stay closer to the site, instead of staying across on the other side of the island?' he asked.
THINGS TO PONDER:
The US government… the GRIFT that keeps on GRIFTING…
Ripped From the Headlines has pointed to the inability of the government to really do much of anything right, including the use of your tax dollars. Let’s do a quick review:
Billions to Ukraine
$700 to people in Maui
FEMA stays in $1k per night hotels
Sounds about right…
If you’re not awake yet to the fact that these people not only don’t care about you, but they hate you with a passion and want to extract as much as they can from you until you’re no longer useful, then they want you to die, you make never awaken to how much you are hated.

“Leaders of the BRICS bloc of leading developing countries have agreed on mechanisms for considering new members, South Africa said on Wednesday, paving the way for dozens of interested nations to join the group which has pledged to champion the ‘Global South.’
Agreement on expansion could help lend global clout to BRICS - Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa - at a time when geopolitical polarization is spurring efforts by Beijing and Moscow to forge it into a viable counterweight to the West.
‘We have agreed on the matter of expansion,’ South Africa's foreign minister Naledi Pandor said on Ubuntu Radio, a station run by her ministry, following a meeting by BRICS leaders at a three-day summit in South Africa.
‘We have a document that we've adopted which sets out guidelines and principles, processes for considering countries that wish to become members of BRICS...That's very positive.’
More than 40 countries have expressed interest in joining BRICS, say South African officials, and 22 have formally asked to be admitted.
They represent a disparate pool of potential candidates - from Iran to Argentina - motivated largely by a desire to level a global playing field many consider rigged against them and attracted by BRICS' promise to rebalance the global order.
‘The world is undergoing major shifts, division and regrouping ... it has entered a new period of turbulence and transformation,’ said China's President Xi Jinping, who has long pushed for the expansion of the BRICS group.
‘Development is an inalienable right of all countries. It is not a privilege reserved for a few,’ he told the summit earlier on Wednesday.
THINGS TO PONDER:
Some people are writing off the BRICS nations as a non-threat…
Which is exactly what they want people to do…
But you shouldn’t do that.
You should watch what they are doing VERY closely… because your future depends on it.
When you see statements like this one:
Russia's President calls on BRICS to abandon the US Dollar and settle trade in local currency.
You can laugh it off… or you can look at the fact that BRICS could announce a gold-backed digital currency at any moment, which would have an impact on your wealth.

“Shares of several U.S. banks fell on Tuesday, the day after ratings agency S&P Global followed Moody's in cutting its credit ratings on some regional lenders with high commercial real estate (CRE) exposure.
S&P's action will make borrowing more costly for a banking sector aiming to recover from a crisis earlier this year, when three regional lenders failed, prompting broader industry turmoil.
‘Some of the structural aspects for banks, regarding their balance sheet, remain risks to banks, as the Fed continues to try to anchor inflation with higher rates for longer,’ said David Wagner, portfolio manager at Aptus Capital Advisors.
S&P on Monday cut ratings on Associated Banc-Corp and Valley National Bancorp on funding risks and higher reliance on brokered deposits.
It also downgraded UMB Financial Corp and Comerica Bank citing deposit outflows and higher interest rates. The rating agency also cut KeyCorp's ratings on the back of constrained profitability.
The rating action weighed on the stocks of major banks even though they were not mentioned by S&P. Shares of JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America both fell almost 2%.
Citigroup, Wells Fargo, Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanley each dropped about 1%.

What Does This Mean?
Erasing your status as a normal person with a family who is trying to do better, and turning you into a slave/serf class is being flaunted in your face by people that we, as a people, allow to take on and remain in positions of power.
Soon, it will go from flaunting to actively doing… whether you agree/consent or not.
