"An independent analysis of Environmental Protection Agency data from the Ohio train derailment site found that many of the toxic chemicals detected could pose long-term health risks if they continue at current levels.
Scientists from Texas A&M and Carnegie Mellon University studied the measurements of air pollutants collected by the EPA and said nine of the pollutants were at higher than normal levels.
'If they continue at these levels, they may be of health concern,' the researchers wrote on Twitter.
A chemical called acrolein — which can cause inflammation and irritation of the skin, respiratory tract and mucous membranes, according to the CDC — had the highest levels among the pollutants found in East Palestine, according to their research.
'It’s not elevated to the point where it’s necessarily like an immediate ‘evacuate the building’ health concern,' one of the researchers, Dr. Albert Presto, told CNN Health. 'But, you know, we don’t know necessarily what the long-term risk is or how long that concentration that causes that risk will persist.'”
"The share of colorectal cancer diagnoses among people under 55 has nearly doubled over the past three decades, a report showed, a shifting burden of disease that doctors are working to understand and catch earlier.
The American Cancer Society said Wednesday that about 20% of new colorectal cancer diagnoses were in patients under 55 in 2019, compared with 11% in 1995. Some 60% of new colorectal cancers in 2019 were diagnosed at advanced stages, the research and advocacy group said, compared with 52% in the mid-2000s and 57% in 1995, before screening was widespread.
Cases and death rates for colorectal cancer have continued a decades-long decline overall thanks to screening, better treatments and reductions in risk factors such as smoking, the ACS report’s authors said. But the shift of the burden toward younger people and diagnoses at more advanced stages has oncologists on alert.
'The improvements have slowed, and they’ve slowed because of this opposite trend we’re seeing in young people,' said Kimmie Ng, director of the Young-Onset Colorectal Cancer Center at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. 'More and more are getting diagnosed with cancer that might not be curable.'”
"China sent 25 warplanes and three warships towards Taiwan this morning, the island's Defense Ministry said, as tensions remain high between Beijing and Taipei's main backer Washington.
Taiwan's ministry said it spotted 19 of those planes crossing into Taiwan's air defense identification zone (ADIZ) while the three ships were continuing to operate in the Taiwan Strait.
Taiwan responded by scrambling its fighter jets, dispatching ships, and activating coastal missile defense systems to 'closely monitor and respond'.
Similar incursions are staged by China on a near-daily basis, part of what are termed 'gray zone' tactics, aimed at intimidation and wearing down Taiwan's equipment, exhausting its personnel and degrading public morale. Those also include cyberwarfare and disinformation campaigns, along with a relentless drive to deprive Taiwan of diplomatic allies.
But now Taiwan has responded by upgrading its fleet of 141 F-16 fighter jets and has ordered 66 more of the planes from the U.S., as tensions ramp up even further between Beijing and Washington."
Wild Wednesday, Ripped From The Headlines. Things To Ponder:
“Hey, No Problem With That Chemical Spill, Everything Is Fine… Except For The Effects…”
Sadly, the East Palestine, Ohio story is the gift that keeps on giving… in the worst possible way…
In the February 27th, 2023 edition of Ripped From The Headlines, we covered the story of Wade Lovett, a resident who is proof that everything IS NOT fine:
'Doctors say I definitely have the chemicals in me but there’s no one in town who can run the toxicological tests to find out which ones they are,' Lovett, 40, an auto detailer, said in an extremely high-pitched voice.
'My voice sounds like Mickey Mouse. My normal voice is low. It’s hard to breathe, especially at night. My chest hurts so much at night I feel like I’m drowning. I cough up phlegm a lot. I lost my job because the doctor won’t release me to go to work.'
So we’re clear:
Residents in the area are being subjected to poisons that will kill them…
Government agencies keep telling them everything is OK…
And now independent research shows high chances of long-term effects.
And, just so you understand:
IF THIS EVER HAPPENS WHERE YOU LIVE, YOU WILL BE TREATED THE SAME WAY.
Know. Your. Foe.
“Cancer… What Cancer? We’re Curing Cancer! Oh, You Mean THAT Cancer…”
That quote is crude for a reason…
There’s a very sophisticated plan to make most of us sick and dead, that also involves a very twisted addition that targets young and healthy people.
What better way to eliminate people in mass, than by killing their future… including any kids they would have.
Game Over.
Don’t believe us? Re-read this quote:
“The improvements have slowed, and they’ve slowed because of this opposite trend we’re seeing in young people,' said Kimmie Ng, director of the Young-Onset Colorectal Cancer Center at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. 'More and more are getting diagnosed with cancer that might not be curable.”
Still don’t believe us? OK, here you go:
Know. Your. Foe.
“It’s Just War… What Could Go Wrong?”
In case you weren’t aware, China is of the understanding that the island nation of Taiwan is a part of China…
And the island nation of Taiwan says differently…
It’s been a long-standing issue, but it’s good to see just how “compact” this conflict is:
And China just flexed its muscle in a pretty major way.
Much of this is a reflection of weak US leadership…
The US doesn’t need to necessarily be the world’s police, but providing a viable deterrent does wonders in keeping opportunists in check…
Unless, of course, you either WANT something bad to happen OR you have a vested interest in conflict…because it hides something else… like this guy:
But we’re not naming any names or anything…
So, World War III could potentially break out in a 100-mile strait…
Or in Europe…
Or Iran could just pop off a nuke:
Much like the economy - believe less of what you hear and more of what you see.
What does this mean?
Things aren’t going to end well if you don’t take action.
But, here’s what’s different this time… multiple people are saying that exact thing from a number of different angles, and in different places.
One of the things we often say is to watch what successful people do, & do that.
Most of them are already out of the line of fire for social unrest or economic collapse…
How do you think they see things ending up?
Why should I care?
When was the last time you checked on your “go-to’s”:
*Your go-to investment?
*Your go-to safety net?
*Your go-to emergency plan?
If it’s been a while, here’s some bad news: They probably don’t work anymore.
That means you’re behind in planning for rough times.
You should care.
What should I do?
Take a moment… right now if you can… to take inventory of what you’re seeing in this newsletter each day.
Have you ever seen a time quite like this?
Ok good, you’re paying attention. That’s the point.
If you’re not paying attention and trapped in the hustle and bustle of a busy world (with a ton of useless stuff, by the way), this stuff will come up on you like a thief in the night.
You need to take the time to prepare as best you can for a time when good supplies, strong communities, and strong connections are the difference between surviving and thriving or being in bad shape.
GET MOVING ASAP.
Also, please share what you get from this newsletter.
