"German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock bluntly stated in fresh remarks that Western allies are fighting a war against Russia. The remarks came during a debate at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) on Tuesday amid discussions over sending Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.
While Baerbock's words were largely ignored in mainstream media, a number of pundits on social media noted with alarm that the German foreign minister just essentially declared war on Russia.
"...Baerbock said the quiet part out loud, and introduced the comments with: 'And therefore I’ve said already in the last days – yes, we have to do more to defend Ukraine. Yes, we have to do more also on tanks.
And that's when she asserted: 'But the most important and the crucial part is that we do it together and that we do not do the blame game in Europe, because we are fighting a war against Russia and not against each other.'”
"As interest rates continue to skyrocket, home prices across the country have continued to plummet — and Goldman Sachs says the declines will only worsen and extend through 2023.
In a note to clients earlier this month, Goldman Sachs forecasted that four American cities in particular should gear up for a seismic decline compared to that of the 2008 housing crash.
San Jose, California; Austin, Texas; Phoenix, Arizona; and San Diego, California, will likely see boom-and-bust declines of more than 25%.
Such declines would rival those seen around 15 years ago during the Great Recession. Home prices across the United States fell around 27%, according to the S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller index.
'Our 2023 revised forecast primarily reflects our view that interest rates will remain at elevated levels longer than currently priced in, with 10-year Treasury yields peaking in 2023 Q3. As a result, we are raising our forecast for the 30-year fixed mortgage rate to 6.5% for year-end 2023 (representing a 30 bp increase from our prior expectation),' the strategists say."
"Heating oil prices in New York — already at a seasonal record — jumped by 12 cents this week just as a winter storm is about to hit the region with ice and snow.
New York residents are paying close to $5 a gallon for the fuel they rely on to stay warm during what’s often some of the coldest weeks of the year, latest government data show. That is up by more than $1 a gallon from the same time last year and nearly double from two years ago.
The price hike is hitting as stockpiles of heating oil and diesel languish at record lows in the central Atlantic region. A warmer-than-usual winter so far has blunted heating demand on the East Coast and kept shortages at bay for the past few months."
”World Gone Mad Wednesday,” Ripped From The Headlines. Things To Ponder:
“Nothing To See Here… Just Declaring War… Keep Moving Please…”
You weren’t supposed to catch this part:
Just another day, calmly declaring war with another country.
She doesn’t have the authority to actually do this, but then again, lots of people seem to be in the business of doing it… and have people actually listen to them!
Remember these clowns?
Better keep an eye on this.
“Home Prices To Plummet In Cities… Film At 11…”
All joking aside, that’s where the value of your house is currently headed, minus some select places…
But you already knew this was coming… we’ve been talking about it for a while.
Yet, we keep being told that this “is nothing like 2008…”
Except, it’s worse…
Know. Your. Foe.
“About That Heating Oil… Good Luck, Peasant!”
It only took ONE POTENTIAL WINTER STORM for heating oil to be thrust back into the news…
But, once again, you already knew this was coming…
The last part of the segment above is one worth reading again:
The price hike is hitting as stockpiles of heating oil and diesel languish at record lows in the central Atlantic region. A warmer-than-usual winter so far has blunted heating demand on the East Coast and kept shortages at bay for the past few months.
Eventually, you run out of ramp… and go over the cliff.
Yikes.
What Does This Mean?
The rough road isn’t ahead anymore…
IT IS HERE NOW.
The world you know, with many of its conveniences, is going to change.
This means real pain. What do you think happens when the supplies run out and the supply chain stops?
Nothing good. Remember Argentina?
Why Should I Care?
These headlines alone should answer that for you, but just remember you’re not immune from this - doesn’t matter how much you have, where you live, or anything else.
You should REALLY care.
What Should I Do?
Get moving on your preparations.
NOW.
If you can get to Costco or Restaurant Depot or Gordon or any equivalent…
Do it ASAP and get prepared.
YOUR FUTURE DEPENDS ON IT.
